White also commented about Lesnar’s last foray in MMA and how it didn’t turn out well in spite of “The Beast Incarnate” defeating Mike Hunt at UFC 200.
In case you didn’t know…
Brock Lesnar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and he also has a long list of achievements with WWE as well.
Now that his WWE contract appears to be up after WrestleMania 34, some people are under the mindset Lesnar could take another stab at MMA.
The heart of the matter
In The Dan LeBatard Show, White said that he doesn’t believe the WWE would allow Brock Lesnar to fight in the UFC again while he’s under contract.
The last time WWE allowed Lesnar to compete in the UFC, he defeated Mike Hunt at UFC 200. But the win was later overturned when Brock Lesnar tested positive for Clomiphene.
Although Lesnar’s camp claimed the banned substance was in some lotion “The Beast Incarnate” was using, it didn’t matter to The Nevada Athletic Commission and he was suspended from MMA for one-year.
What’s next?
There were rumblings that Brock Lesnar might be re-entering the USADA testing pool for a possible return match against Jon Jones.
But since Jones tested positive for Turinabol, any mention of a UFC return for Lesnar has been kept pretty quiet at this point, if it’s still a possibility at all.
Author’s take
It was fun to watch Brock Lesnar destroy people in the Octagon while it lasted, but he also took his fair share of beatings too. In fact, the WWE has been much better to Lesnar’s face than the UFC ever was.
