In case you didn’t know
Eddie Hall became the first British strongman to win WSM title after 25 years. Hall was recently acknowledged after successfully performing a 500 kg deadlift in Botswana. He has scripted his name in various records book by becoming UK’s Strongest Man and Britain’s Strongest Man.
The heart of matter
Eddie Hall beat Iceland’s Hafthor Bjornsson to lift the WSM title. He performed a jaw-dropping deadlift where Hall flipped 500 kg tire six times followed by squats with a weight of 320 kg. Soon after Eddie was named the World’s Strongest Man, he announced his retirement from the sport. In an interview with Sports360, he revealed how hard it had been for him to win the title.
Eddie said that he is aiming for a different career now. Upon asking he revealed about his meeting with WWE officials and hinted at entering WWE.
Last year, Eddie aka The Beast was expected to make an appearance during WWE’s UK tour in November, somehow his plans stopped short. If Hall decides to join WWE, he will be the second WSM after Mark Henry.
Author’s take
WWE surely has some plans if they have approached Hall. If he joins WWE, then the WWE Universe can expect some drama and change. Pro Wrestling is a rapidly growing industry with opportunities he can look forward to it in order to add more records to his name.
