He also cut his hair and went back to NXT after not doing being used much on either Raw or SmackDown. Breeze recently spoke with WWE.com about adjusting back to NXT.
In case you missed it . . .
A few years ago, Breeze was one of the top stars in the Yellow and Black brand and often challenged for the NXT Title.
He often opposed newer stars to the yellow brand and helped them acclimate. He faced Jyushin ‘Thunder’ Liger in one match and Finn Balor, Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews in others.
The heart of the matter
Things are done differently in NXT and on the main roster. All three shows have their own scouts, producers and writers.
Some fans believe that NXT has often outperformed both main roster shows due to better storytelling and presentation. Many also feel that it is less of a developmental brand and more of than an actual third brand.
Since some people have trouble transitioning from one place to the next and back, Breeze was asked about his experience doing so to NXT with WWE.com.
Breeze is somewhat correct in that notion because TakeOvers are bigger stages than a random match here and there on episodes of Raw or SmackDown. He feels he was just showing the world what he already knew.
What’s next?
Breeze has been in WWE for almost a decade, so it’s not a surprise that his transition back to NXT was easy.
He’s always believed in himself, as most athletes do, but just needed a bigger platform to remind the world of his skills.
