Randy Orton recently mentioned his initial dislike for Riddle. Meanwhile, Tamina expressed her opinion regarding the “Roman Reigns” of the women’s locker room.

A WWE legend fired shots at Triple H, while Daniel Bryan talked about an interesting scenario related to his feud with Roman Reigns.

With that in mind, let’s dive straight into the latest WWE News Roundup.

#5 Mickie James says WWE still employs the person responsible for sabotaging her last WWE stint

Mickie James has been in the headlines since being released from WWE alongside several other Superstars. She revealed some backstage controversies during her appearance on GAW TV with Lisa Marie Varon and So Cal Val.

Apparently, James pitched the idea of an all-female brand to WWE before her release, and someone from the company said that women’s wrestling doesn’t make money:

Mickie James also mentioned the trash bag incident and how she highlighted the situation by tagging Vince McMahon on Twitter.

While Stephanie McMahon publicly apologized to James, Vince McMahon personally called her on the phone to do the same. James said she tagged the CEO of WWE on Twitter because he is oblivious to many things that happen in the company. As a result, she just wanted to bring the situation to his attention:

Mickie James further stated that she experienced ageism during her last few years in WWE. The legendary female star added that the person who devalued her during her last run in WWE is still employed by the company:

Mickie James has a 90-day non-compete clause that will expire in July 2021. It shall be interesting to see her pursue other options outside of WWE.

#4 Randy Orton initially disliked Riddle due to their awkward backstage meeting in WWE

Although Randy Orton and Riddle currently share a good professional relationship on WWE’s main roster, this wasn’t always the case.

During Orton’s recent appearance on “The Kurt Angle Show,” the veteran detailed his first backstage meeting with Riddle in WWE. He first saw Riddle at a WWE event in Miami, where NXT’s entire roster was present backstage alongside main roster talent. As Orton tried to break the ice with Riddle, the latter walked past him instead of engaging in a conversation.

Due to this instance, Orton said that he disliked Riddle in the beginning. The WWE veteran viewed Riddle’s actions as a sign of disrespect. But in 2021, both of them are on the same page.

On WWE RAW, Riddle and Randy Orton have formed an unusual partnership. This particular development surprised many fans, as Orton has been portrayed as a vicious heel who crossed numerous boundaries in recent memory.

#3 Tamina compares Charlotte Flair to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has always been a top WWE Superstar over the last few years. However, Reigns only received overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding his onscreen character and storylines once he became a villain in 2020.

Tamina recently spoke to Vicente Beltrán of ViBe & Wrestling. Alongside Reigns, she is also a part of the Samoan Dynasty. During the interview, Tamina labeled WWE RAW’s Charlotte Flair as the “Roman Reigns” of the women’s locker room:

Roman Reigns and Charlotte Flair are both accomplished WWE Superstars in their respective divisions. While Charlotte has always been an opportunistic character, she recently embraced her heelish roots to a greater extent.

#2 Bret Hart fires shots at WWE EVP Triple H

WWE legend Bret Hart had some unfavorable things to say about Triple H. Hart recently appeared on The 81 Podcast and implied that Triple H’s connection to the McMahon family is the reason behind his executive status in WWE.

The Hitman publicly called Triple H an overrated competitor and said that the latter didn’t have an original idea throughout his career:

Triple H currently serves as WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development. He has a huge role to play in NXT’s weekly proceedings, and The Game also wrestles on sporadic occasions in WWE.

Although Bret Hart retired from in-ring competition many years ago, he is still regarded as one of the best wrestling icons from the 1990s. Do you agree with his opinions about Triple H?

#1 Daniel Bryan would have loved a heel vs. heel encounter against Roman Reigns in WWE

Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns have been feuding on WWE SmackDown for a while now. While Bryan is the clear babyface out of the two, he recently spoke about a potential heel vs. heel match with Reigns.

Bryan’s run as the Planet’s Champion towards the end of the previous decade was quite successful. He would have loved that version of the character to feud with The Tribal Chief in WWE. Not too long ago, he appeared on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox and mentioned this scenario:

While a heel vs. heel contest between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan doesn’t seem like an immediate possibility, fans can only dream about potential outcomes from this interesting scenario for now.
