Aiden English and Rusev have had a number of issues in recent weeks, but their match this week on SmackDown saw English sacrifice himself when he pushed Rusev out of the way of a Brogue Kick which then allowed The Bulgarian Brute to hit the Machka Kick for the win. Rusev Day have come close to winning the Tag Team Championships on a number of times since the team formed last year, but this is the first time that the duo has been able to overcome the odds of a Tag Team Championship tournament and could now easily be seen as the favorites over The New Day on Sunday night....

The Game stated that it all depends on how quickly WWE finds and trains Saudi Arabian talent. In case you didn’t know… It has been a while since WWE and the Saudi Kingdom signed a multi-year deal, which will see WWE hosting shows in the country for a long time to come. The first show WWE did in Saudi Arabia was The Greatest Royal Rumble that ended with Braun Strowman winning the match to bag a green championship belt....

WWE’s Cathy Kelly reported the news in a video on their Facebook page. Kelly firstly outlined that RAW’s Matt Hardy would take on Elias in a singles match on the PPV’s KickOff. Then, Kelly surprisingly announced that the other bout added to the KickOff was a tag-team match with SmackDown Live’s Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Breezango. Considering how Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were being pushed since Hell in a Cell, it is quite shocking that WWE have put them on the PreShow....

The prime example of this is his feud right now with The Miz, which started on Talking Smack when The Miz cut arguably the greatest promo of his career: Daniel Bryan has been involved in a minor feud with Baron Corbin as well. WWE Hall Of Famer Edge had stated four years ago that the reason he didn’t want to return in a non-wrestling role was because he thought that even if he got involved in a feud or storyline, there would be no physical payoff because there was fear of his body undergoing severe damage....

Needless to say, possible spoilers ahead. In case you didn’t know… Betting odds are a huge part of the pro wrestling industry. More often than not, they are usually a good indicator of who will emerge victorious in their respective matches. Though there is still some time for the odds to change drastically and for WWE to pull off last-minute shockers, some matches supposedly have their results set in stone....

Cena and Prinze Jr. were not on good terms when the Star Wars Rebels star joined WWE as a writer. The 16-time world champion interrupted a promo class that was being conducted by Prinze Jr., which led to an argument between the two. Freddie Prinze Jr. detailed his real-life, backstage rivalry with John Cena on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast. He revealed why Cena didn’t get along with him, and also divulged Vince McMahon’s hilarious reaction after learning about the feud:...

In case you didn’t know… The only announced match on the card that has been moved to the kickoff show is Drew Gulak defending his Cruiserweight Championship against Oney Lorcan, something that the Cruiserweights have come accustomed to in recent years since many of the purple brand’s matches have been moved to pay-per-view pre-shows. Other matches that were expected to take place tonight include Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura vs Mustafa Ali and even Aleister Black vs Sami Zayn which already took place on the SmackDown ahead of SummerSlam a few days ago....

In case you didn’t know… Over the past 33 years, there have been some incredible returns at the biggest event of the year that changed the course of the company from the minute they stepped back into the ring. It was a trip down memory lane for many of the WWE Universe as the video contained returns from the likes of Miss Elizabeth, The Undertaker and even The Hardy Boys from last year....

WWE once wanted former superstar Christian to dress up as The Rock for a storyline. This snippet of backstage information was revealed on the latest episode of Edge & Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness, with the former tag team partners already starting to build up quite the following. In case you didn’t know… Back in the day, Christian was used as something of a buffer for The Rock whilst The Great One was off shooting movies....

On Thursday afternoon WWE.com posted a story that revealed their five dream matches for Bryan now that he is able to once again wrestle. During the two-year absence from in-ring competition, there have been some new names that everyone would like to see compete with Bryan in the ring. In case you didn’t know… Bryan wrestled his last match in the WWE on 14 April 2015 during a SmackDown taping....

A top RAW star sent a message to Roman Reigns referring to “their unfinished business” as he anticipates facing the Tribal Chief after Clash at the Castle. A WWE Hall of Famer has confirmed that he returned to the promotion specifically to face Brock Lesnar. Elsewhere, another Hall of Famer explained why he wasn’t comfortable taking bumps anymore in the ring. A top female star could also undergo a much-needed name change under the new Head of Creative Triple H’s regime....

In case you didn’t know… During his NJPW run from the 2014-2016, AJ Styles was part of the infamous Japanese faction called the Bullet Club alongside Kenny Omega. Styles made his NJPW return in the year 2014 during the company’s Invasion Attack event and immediately challenged Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship; he also became the leader of the Bullet Club, taking the reins from Prince Devitt (Finn Balor)....

In case you didn’t know… Prior to his arrival in the WWE, earlier in the year, NXT North American Champion, Ricochet established himself as one of the fastest rising high flying Superstars in the Professional Wrestling business. Ricochet, who during his time with NJPW, was part of the Jr. Heavyweight Division, won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships on three different occasions and is also a former three-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion, having won the titles alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi and Ryusuke Taguchi on one solitary occasion....

Tuesday’s edition of WWE NXT was a taped episode and did not face competition from the NBA or NHL playoffs. The show garnered 612,000 viewers, a drop from the 657,000 that tuned in last week for the episode following In Your House. According to Wrestlenomics, WWE NXT 2.0 received a 0.12 rating (157,000 viewers) in the key 18-49 demographic, tied for the third-lowest rating of 2022. The overall viewership for the episode is the twelfth-highest total of viewers so far this year....

Adrian Neville vs Dean Ambrose (c) An extremely interesting opening match as Neville gave Ambrose a run for his money. As he looked to win the match, Rollins and Reigns interfered and beat him down. Winner via DQ: Adrian Neville Danny Burch vs. Tyler Breeze Breeze dominated the match and hit Burch with his spinning heel kick finish for the win. Winner: Tyler Breeze NXT Championship Leo Kruger vs. Bo Dallas (c)...

Jinny and Piper Niven clashed a heated and intense battle to become Kay Lee Ray’s next challenger. Ben Carter made his debut on Noam Dar’s Supernova Sessions, and he competed in his debut match against the Cruiserweight champion, Jordan Devlin. These were just a few highlights of a stacked show. Piper Niven vs. Jinny in a #1 contender match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship The first bout of the night was a grudge match between Jinny and Piper Niven....

Perhaps most at the forefront will be Triple H’s highly-anticipated announcement regarding the return of WWE Tough Enough. Though WWE.com has yet to find out any specifics as to what will be said, the return of the show already has the entire WWE Universe buzzing. The intensity will surely grow tenfold once the 13-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion takes the mic. Then there’s the question of Kane. It will be interesting to see whether The Director of Operations will suffer repercussions for the decisions he made while being left in charge – particularly those involving WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ current situation with Randy Orton....

Overall, this edition of WWE RAW was a lot better than usual because of the star power involved. That said, there’s bound to be some criticism when it comes to a three-hour-long broadcast, and this week was no different. Do remember that Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal were in the UK depriving the brand of two top stars this week. This is a critical week for WWE as it is the go-home show before Money In The Bank. And therefore, WWE will want to keep the momentum up by booking a few more memorable surprises.
