In case you didn’t know… Multi-time WWE World Champion Triple H will be making his return to in-ring competition on the 28th of June, 2019 at WWE’s upcoming live events in Tokyo, Japan. Upon his return to in-ring competition, ‘The Game’ will be teaming up with up The Club, who are all set for a huge reunion in Japan. The trio of AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows are all former members of the Bullet Club, who at one point dominated New Japan Pro Wrestling along with other members of the faction, such as The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Tama Tonga, and Bad Luck Fale....

In case you didn’t know… Prior to signing with WWE in 2014, Hideo Itami established himself as one of the mainstays of Pro Wrestling NOAH. During his time with NOAH, Kenta won the GHC Heavyweight and Jr. Heavyweight Championship and was also in a tag team with Shibata, back in the day. Kenta was eventually released from WWE in February of 2019 and hasn’t appeared for any wrestling promotion in particular....

Hideo Itami vs Sean Maluta This episode of NXT kicked off with Hideo Itami making his much-awaited return since shoulder surgery which has kept him out for more than a year against Cruiserweight Classic competitor Sean Maluta, member of the Anoa’i wrestling family. As the competitors got in the ring, we got a shot of Maluta’s fellow CWC competitors Zack Sabre Jr, Tony Nese and Drew Gulak at ringside. Itami showed no signs of ring rust from his lengthy absence even though the scars from his shoulder surgery were still visible on his shoulder....

Banks dominated her opponent, getting some near falls. However, as the match progressed Charlotte bails to the apron and slams Banks’ head into the turnbuckle and lands her flipping cutter finisher for the win. With the recent news that Smackdown will be going live on Tuesday nights and the brand split will return, WWE is gonna need bodies for its main roster. Like a lot of them to fill five hours of TV every week. Since they’ve pretty much stolen every piece of available talent (and even some TNA guys, which is stretching the “talent’ definition — I kid, I kid…) that means NXT is the group that gets raided....

Altogether, NXT Takeover was perfectly timed out, coming in slightly under three hours. The only bout that lagged was the women’s title affair between Shayna Baszler and Mia Yim and every match ended right when it should have. There are definitely moments and highlights during the course of three hours, but WWE RAW is just so long that the charm wears off after a while. SmackDown isn’t necessarily a better show (or is it?), but the two-hour length makes it more palatable than WWE RAW is. There was very little that was bad, per se, but overall, considering how everything played out, it wasn’t an enjoyable show. Before you throw accusations like ‘AEW fan’ or ‘WWE hater’ this way, please know that there’s nobody in the world who wants WWE RAW to become more enjoyable than this humble reviewer....

After being written off of television, Lana actually did some work with the Superstars of NXT, during her husband’s hiatus due to injury. It is also worth noting that Rusev is the first ever Bulgarian-born athlete to be signed to a WWE contract.
